Back in 2013 I started planning my own wedding. It quickly became very overwhelming and a big wedding just didn’t feel true to us as a couple. The planning process became stressful and the guest list was starting to increase, feeling like any form of intimacy was lost. My husband and I decided to elope and as soon as we had made that decision, it felt like a huge weight was lifted. We actually started to become excited about our wedding day.
